Anchor of Hope is a family-owned business providing compassionate, personalized hospice services to families in Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Zionsville, Greenwood, Indianapolis and the surrounding areas.

We have made it our mission to provide exceptional one-on-one care to those affected by life-limiting illnesses and terminal disease. Our mission is guided by our compassionate and caring values that we extend to our families as we support them through the end of life.

Anchor of Hope Hospice has extensive experience in hospice care, social work and nursing. 

Our Leadership

Our Anchor of Hope Hospice team is led by our Board of Directors, our Medical Director (Dr Mahmoud Yassin-Kassab) our Administrator (RegGina Mattis) and Clinical Director (Ashley Patton). The Board of Directors consist of individuals who hold R.N. and BSN credentials and integrate a very hands-on approach to care while upholding the core values to the highest regard.

Dr. Mahmoud Yassin-Kassab, M.D. serves as Medical Director at Anchor Of Hope Hospice. He attended medical school at Damascus University of Medicine in Damascus, Syria, completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Teshreen Military Hospital and completed his Internal Medicine Residency program at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and has over 25 years of experience caring for patients. He previously served as hospital ethics committee chairman, Medical Director of several skilled nursing facilities and is currently a Hospitalist in Indianapolis. Dr Kassab has provided clinical care for vulnerable populations and those with serious illness, of all ages, across the care continuum. He is committed to providing the highest level of quality care to all our patients at Anchor Of Hope Hospice. “I aim to develop care plans which align with patients’ priorities and improve the quality in life for those I serve.”

Ashley Patton is the Clinical Director at Anchor Of Hope Hospice in Indiana. Ashley is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with a rich background in critical care and a passion for providing exceptional hospice care. Graduating as an RN in 2007, Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Leadership and Management in 2020. Over the last four years, Ashley has dedicated herself to hospice, offering compassionate support to individuals and their families during their most vulnerable moments.

Ashley is responsible for monitoring all nursing policies and procedures, establishing best practices, and developing and conducting staff and RN training programs. Her blend of clinical expertise, leadership acumen, and dedication to education positions her as a valuable asset in the Anchor of Hope Hospice family.

RegGina Mattis is the Administrator for Anchor Of Hope Hospice. She was born and raised in Indiana and graduated from Indiana University. After graduation, she found her stride in sales and marketing; gained valuable knowledge, experience and problem-solving skills while working in both communications and pharmaceutical industries. RegGina joined the Anchor Of Hope Hospice family in 2021 and is proud to bring a truly patient-centered hospice care approach to Indiana.
